The meeting at Jones Bus Service on February 17th in Irvona, Pa. was well attended with about 30 persons attending and the Laurel Highlands Sprint Car Series would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who took the time to make the trip. Several things were discussed regarding the 2018 racing season so if you were unable to attend the meeting please contact Rob Bartchy so he can fill you in and get everyone up to speed on some new things for this year. Also THANK YOU to Bill and Jonathon Jones for opening up their race shop for our meeting and also THANK YOU to Roda Jones for the food and cookies and also a THANK YOU to Jim Marquette for bringing donuts and THANK YOU to Jim “Cowboy” Kennedy for handing out the 2018 racing calender’s. Looks like Laurel Highlands will have another good year and will have some new drivers and “rookies” competing with us as well. Plans are in the works to do another Summer Showdown and sometime in March the details will be released, this is just ‘for fun’ to do the Showdown and hopefully everyone is on board with it as we do it for the fans to get them interested in our IMCA Race Savers. Again, if you were unable to attend the meeting last Saturday contact Robby so he can fill you in so there will be no surprises at our season opener on April 20th at the Bedford Speedway.
